HISTORY
MY YOGA REVOLUTION has evolved out of the Yoga Technique of Thirumalai Krishnamacharya, the Founder of modern Vinyasa Yoga, whose reknowned students, Patabhi Jois and B.K.S Iyengar, have brought Vinyasa Yoga to the West.
When Yoga has been first introduced to the Western culture, it was quickly embraced by the Gym Culture and molded into many pretzel-shaped styles of new age workout fitness.
Whereas in India, Yoga has for centuries existed as the physical technology of Self-Realization, leading to the emancipation from the cycle of Samsara (the Sanskrit term for “Mundane Existence”) by means of realizing the Yogic Self.
THE TECHNIQUE
MY YOGA REVOLUTION elevates the Asana Practice, the Yoga Poses and the transitions between them to the Practice of deliberately-synchronized, rhythmic Pranayama, focusing on the Tri-Bandhas, to burn up physical toxins & mental clutter in the flow of our Life Energy.
SAMADHI: “THE OPPOSITES IN MOVEMENT
The goal of Yoga besides the mental and physical health it bestows upon the practitioner, is also the realization of “Samadhi” (Sanskrit word for “Quietness” or “The Opposites in Movement”).
Samadhi, the ocean of existential peace, is made available here and now, by directing the mind one-pointedly towards the energetics of the Yogic Pranayama, continiously moving in the body. The lasting success of Yoga is measured by the Continuity and Strength of this life-long relationship. |
