<h2>Before Class</h2>
<p>Please try to show up 10 minutes before class. If you are running late, please call the studio to let us know (Tel:(347)-345-6095) so we don’t give your reserved spot to someone else.</p>
<p><strong>Eating &amp; Drinking</strong> Try not to eat right before class. In fact, try to eat a light meal 2-3 hours before class. We find that fruit works well since it digests quickly. Make sure you drink water before class.</p>
<p><strong>What to Wear</strong> Wear light, dry-weave fabrics and non-restrictive clothing. The most common attire for women is shorts and a sport top or tank top.  Men usually wear shorts. Some wear t-shirts in the beginning.</p>
<p><strong>What to Bring</strong> Bring your mat, a towel long enough to cover your mat, and some water, all of which are available for rent at our front desk. You can rent a mat at the studio for $1.</p>

<h2>What Class to Take</h2>
<p>At Yoga Revolution, we like to emphasize that our classes are for ALL LEVELS (you just go at your own pace). That said, if you are brand-new to yoga, we suggest starting out with our Beginner&#8217;s Yoga classes. We also recommend taking any of our Intro classes or workshops when they are available.</p>
<p>If you would like more guidance, contact us! We would love to help you pick a class, give advice and listen to your feedback.</p>

<h2>Listening to your body during practice</h2>
<p>It is very important to keep yourself safe. It is your responsibility to pull out of a posture that does not feel right for your body. Our teachers are highly trained, and they do their best to keep everyone safe, but teachers cannot know everything that is going on in your body, nor can they feel what you feel. Pain is an indicator that you have gone too far. Please honor your body. If you need a rest, you may stop and rest. You are your own best teacher, heed your body’s warnings, and stop. The purpose of Yoga is to nourish and nurture; take care of you.</p>

<h2>Is Yoga For Me?</h2>
<p>Our Yoga Practice is invigorating and detoxifying–a lot of people compare it to receiving a massage. You will thank us when class is over!</p>

<h2>Studio Etiquette</h2>
<p><strong>Shoes</strong> It is customary to remove your shoes when you enter a yoga studio. We provide shoe cubbies where you may leave your bag, shoes, clothing, etc. We cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen items.</p>
<p><strong>Restrooms</strong> Try to take care of business before class, as it may interrupt fellow yogis if you leave during class. However, if you need to go during class, please do so quietly and respectfully. When re-entering the room, please wait until we are between postures so you don’t disrupt a fellow yogi’s balance.</p>
<p><strong>Cell Phones</strong> Please respect your fellow yoga practitioners and the teachers and turn your cell phone off when you enter the studio. If you leave your bag out in the lobby, please double check to make sure your cell phone is turned off while you are practicing. If you need to be “on-call” please let the teacher know that you have your phone on vibrate and that it is in the room. If you receive a call, please take your phone out into the lobby area before you begin to speak.</p>

The program begins at 7pm on the first day of the retreat with a group welcome and departure is at 12pm on the last day. The schedule is subject to change at the discretion of the teacher.<br />
7-8:00pm Welcome &#038; Orientation </p>
<p>7:30am-8:00am : Guided meditation<br />
(optional)This will be a guided meditation and no meditation experience is required. <br />
8:00am-8:30am : Morning Ayurvedic Self-Colonic(optional)<br />
8:30- 9am Morning Juice<br />
9:00am-10:30am : Energizing Detox Vinyasa Yoga<br />
Moderately-paced vinyasa class for all levels focused on detoxifying and energizing poses to strengthen the body, rejuvenate the mind and awaken the spirit as you move with grace in to your limitless potential.  Focused on the detoxifying effect of the bandhas, with special emphasis on twists, yogic breath work and chanting for self-healing, and optional advanced asana variations. All levels welcome!<br />
10:30am-11:00pm : Mid-morning Elixir<br />
11am &#8211; 12:30pm Fasting Lecture/Q/A Session<br />
Morning yoga and meditation is followed by Q&#038;A, drinking herbal teas and some of the educational materials for rest of the weekend. <br />
12:00pm-4:00pm : Free time<br />
The afternoon freetime is for you to do as you wish!  You may like to stay for bodywork sessions, just rest-read-journal, nap or meditate.  You may also like to do your own thing elsewhere or even venture out into the hot tub which are also excellent detoxifier during your fast.<br />
12:00pm-4:00pm : Lunch Juice<br />
4:00pm-5:30pm : Restorative Detox Hatha Yoga<br />
 focused on deep inner exploration through longer-held poses and stimulating the Agni(digestive fire) to burn up toxins via Yogic Pranayama Breathwork.  Includes explanation of detox principles of longer-held Yoga poses and chanting.  All levels class.<br />
5:30pm-6pm : Evening Meditation &#038; Dinner Juice<br />
we will close the day with a 30 minute meditation session.  This will be a guided meditation and no meditation experience is required.  After the meditation we will create a sharing circle and enjoy our dinner juice together.<br />
In the morning of the last day, Fast is broken with fruit/vegetable juices</p>
<p>Please arrive before 5pm for a retreat welcome on the first day. Departure is by 12 noon on the last day. </p>

<h4>You are invited to a relaxing weekend of Rejuvenation, Yoga and Bellydance in the beautiful Catskill mountains. An intensive weekend packed with activities! Enjoy an early morning hike, soak in a luxurious outdoor hot tub, relax with a restorative yoga class. Get in touch with the part of you that loves nature! Yoginis and dancers of all levels and abilities are welcome.</h4>
<h3>DEPARTURE/ARRIVAL:</h3>
<h4>One group is leaving New York on Friday at 7pm, the other on Saturday 8am coming back Sunday 7-8pm, transportation is available for workshop participants. Travel time: 2hours.</h4>
<h3>SAMPLE DAILY SCHEDULE:</h3>
<h4>8am &#8211; 8:30am <strong>Meditation</strong><br />
8:30am &#8211; 10am <strong>Dynamic Vinyasa Class</strong> for all levels focused on detoxifying and invigorating Poses to strengthen the body, rejuvenate the mind and awaken the spirit. Chanting, Bandhas, Yogic Breathwork, and advanced asana variations will be explored in detail.<br />
10am <strong>Breakfast</strong></h4>
<h4><strong></strong>FOR BELLYDANCERS: 10:30am-12pm Egyptian Bellydance Technique and Choreography with Lalita.</h4>
<h4>Technical nuances of the Egyptian Dance vocabulary will explored in detail, while focusing on the step combinations, choreography skills from the vocabulary of Egyptian Theatrical Dance as inspired by the Mahmoud Reda’s approach.</h4>
<h4>FOR YOGIS/YOGINIS: 10 &#8211; 12pm <strong>Free time</strong>: get a spa treatment, spend time journaling, hiking or making new friends</h4>
<h4>12-1pm <strong>Walking Meditation with Alana</strong>: Explore the themes of inner peace, equanimity and mind-balancing practices as you take a relaxing, quiet group walk on a local hiking trail</h4>
<h4>1-2pm <strong>Healthy Vegetarian Lunch</strong></h4>
<h4>FOR BELLYDANCERS: 2-4pm Egyptian Bellydance Structured Improv and Performance Skills with Lalita.</h4>
<h4>Lalita’ s innovative Egyptian Theatrical Dance method will focus on improvisation and performance skills from the vocabulary of Egyptian Theatrical Dance as inspired by the Mahmoud Reda’s approach.</h4>

<h4>4 &#8211; 5:30pm <strong>Yoga Therapy Class with Alana<br />
</strong>This class will include slower-paced asana sequences focused on the healing benefits of Yoga for back/neck tension, headaches and Yogic stress management techniques. Longer-held poses and their therapeutic benefits will be introduced in connection with Pranayama healing breathwork and chanting.</h4>
<h4>6:30 &#8211; 7:30 <strong>Healthy Vegetarian </strong><strong>Dinner</strong></h4>
<h4><strong></strong>8pm Bellydance Show &#8211;  enjoy a Bellydance Show by our talented Retreat Participants followed by open floor dancing for everyone!</h4>
